That’s what most of our clients say. When we asked them what they meant by works, they used words like: easy, simple, and clean. Most of the time people think they want stuff flying all over the screen with some background soundtrack. They want it until they find out through our user-centered design process that creating a great experience starts with listening to what the audience wants and delivering to their expectations.
I don’t know how to explain it, it just works.
See there is a misconception that building a clean and simple design is easy because it’s not chock full of moving stuff. Not so. Simple design takes time. It requires research and experience. So next time you hear “it just works” think about the amount of time it took to make something that simple.

I would have to agree in the uttermost that your designs are clean. I am very minimalistic when it comes to web design. I’ve come to find through personal client-to-designer conversations that less is truly more and more appreciated, easy-to-use and simply elegant no matter what client you design for. There are times for a change in tune, however, such as a client with a young, dirt-bike riding demographic. (maybe they want grunge) All in all, clean is fantastic.

Sky, You’re right. You’ve got to design for the audience. We’ve actually done a site for dirt bike riding. It was fun to do something GRUNGY.
