We love social media. It’s a critical part of what we do. However, we love interacting with people face-to-face and that includes our clients. It’s how we create great user experiences.
Let’s talk about a great face-to-face experience. Yesterday, we invited our client Overture Technologies to come out and see their new booth design we finished earlier this week. We met in the parking lot of our vendor CSI in Falls Church, VA and stood in awe as we noticed the booth peering through the glass display in front of the building.
It was a priceless moment to see the expression on the client’s face. And then to hear “hell yea,” was just the cherry on top. You can’t get that from Twitter, Skype, Facebook, or email. The inflection of tone of voice, body language, and just good ole’ fashion dialogue. It’s the creation of a memorable moment. It’s the building of a relationship beyond just the tactical execution of work.
Remember, we love social media. We integrate it into web sites and campaigns. But we also know when to use it and when to let it go.
We let it go to create a moment for our client. An experience they’ll remember. Thanks to Kevin at CSI for helping to make this happen, our client Jeff for letting us put him in the blog post, and La Granja De Oro for the great Peruvian food we enjoyed for lunch.
