I’ll be honest. I love gadgets – the Apple magic mouse, ear buds, LaCie little big disk – you name it. Just take a look at my previous posts Timbuk2 and Get Your Charge On. So what does a gadget guy do this year when it comes to Black Friday? Look for all the deals that will be out there and buy more gadgets.

Social Media and Black Friday

This year Black Friday will be a little different for most retailers as WE can share news on deals via Twitter and Facebook. Some retailers have taken to Social Media to promote deals themselves, while other outlets via Twitter and Facebook are leaking ads and specific deals. I can’t wait to see the turn out on Black Friday not to mention what the impact of Social Media will be on shoppers and sales.

Resources

Time is of the essence so I have included a few of my favorite resources to use on hunting the deals:

• @techdealdigger – You will get daily tweets of tech deals. The deals range from flat panel displays, hard drives to software.
• @woot – Similar to @techdigger a nice way to get the deals sent to you – saving you time!
• Gizmodo – They have assembled a list of what not to buy. Very helpful for zeroing in on the perfect deal.
• Best Buy – Their Facebook page has a shop and share feature where you can reach out to friends that have purchased gadgets and get real reviews.

So before you eat your turkey, ham and mashed potatoes check out my deal resources and do some research before going out on the 27th in hunt of that fantastic gadget deal that you must have.
