More privacy concerns as Facebook plans to roll out the global “Like” button. This time US Senators are calling for more controls to help users maintain their privacy. Is Facebook becoming an evil entity? Are they planning to take over the world?

They Just Don’t Get It!

Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky – try to take over the world!

If you watched any kind of cartoons in the mid-90s then you are familiar with Pinky and the Brain; two lab rats, one highly intelligent and the other a bit of a buffoon try to take over the human race. Not unlike our good search friends, Google, Facebook is planning to roll out a new feature that will track things you “like.” Which essentially is your personal endorsement of something, someone, some place, etc. They call it “Beacon.”

The question is though, “does Facebook have a right to broadcast all of this data?”
