History
Modal was founded by Daimon Caulk in 2001 with the goal to provide a bridge between business and technology. His experience as a designer, information architect, and eCommerce analyst (while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP) has helped Fortune 500 and 1000 companies design customer-centric interfaces in a way that provides business value and customer acceptance. Many times a translator is needed in order to bridge the gap between “developer speak” and “marketing speak.” Modal is a translator.
Today
June 1, 2009 marks the date which Modal transformed from a web design firm that specialized in user experience design to a digital agency that specializes in user experience design and social media. As a digital agency, Modal is able to offer additional creative services such as campaign development, branding, and social media management.
